  • tranny help requested, slow rpm climb at WOT

That explains most of it. I dont know what the hell is going on. The best way to descirbe it would be putting a manual car itno 5th gear and a low speed, and then going WOT to try and accelerate fast. It just doenst work.

When you swapped the plenums, did you use the same TPS sensor or swap that too?

If the vacuum line to the trans was unhooked it would shift real hard all the time, you would notice it.

The QDM errors, either you have a finicky/partially bad ECM or a short in the transmission.

I used the original TPS that was on my stock plenum.

That is what i figured if the vac line was disconnected would happen, so it must not be that.

Ya, i first learned about the Quad drivers when i went in and talked to my old auto teacher about the fuel problems i was having a while back. That is when i pulled the 3 codes together, and he said the coolant temp sensor could be causing the quad drivers to be the way they are and cutting off fuel when they shouldnt be because of the bad CTS. But then, my car went back to normal shortly after i got my exhaust done in Jan, still with a bad CTS, yet the rpms didnt jump around like they did. I am going to see what auto zone pulls up tomorrow.

He said if the new CTS doesnt fix the quad driver, my ECM is going to the shits.

Well, the coolant temp and quad driver codes are gone. There is one code that came up twice, and it is TPS low voltage. Now, I dont know why this sensor would just go bad out of the blue, it worked 2 hrs before. I havent checked the connection yet, because I havent had time so tomorrow i will do that. If that doesnt fix it, ill check for the TCC solenoid.

          Thanks for the help.
