I've noticed on occasion after the engine warms up on my 99 lumina that the transmission appears to shift late/ slip lightly as I got into third under light throttle/load. It never seems to do it when I accelerate under moderate to heavy throttle conditions..The vacuum modulator is in working order and isnt leaking so I was curious to find out any possible solutions to the problem. the car still feels strong overall just its a concern that i dont want to become a major problem..last i checked the fluid level was correct and the condition of the fluid's good, i flushed and refilled the transmission back in the summer time. I'm kinda stumped so any suggestions would be great, thanks alot!

You could try buy an ajustable modulator and crank it up...but I am also thinking that the 2-3 accumulator is damaged. that required lower pan removal.Lorenzo

sorry to bother you again but wouly you happen to know where i could find an adjustable modulator? Hmm if it did turn out to be the 2-3 accumulator would the best solution be to just replace the whole valve body unit? Dropping the pan and doing a re and re is something I'd be able to tackle.
