284 help!

i just put a new 3.4L dohc motor and 284 5spd trans in my 91 gp. the motor and trans came out of a 92 lumina and the day the salvage company pulled the motor and trans they said it drove just fine and the clutch was working properly. and today i finished the motor and trans swap and when i took it for a drive the motor runs a little rough and the clutch is slipping. it only starts if you have a half thottle and if you dont have your foot and the gas its dies when idling, but once it warms up it runs just fine. and the clutch slips little in first and lots in the other 4 gears. any ideas or suggestions??

Replace the clutch and check for vacuum leaks on the intake manifold.

well i overfilled the trans by accident, can the gear oil be getting on the clutch and causing it to slip?

eitherway, if you contaminate the clutch disc with oil, it should be replaced.
