Eh, GM stock stuff is pretty durable and mine has a lot of miles on everything. So if it goes a wrecked car 100k or under is an upgrade still and will last a while... Hell my 95 engine mount I got years and years ago had like 115k on it lol. Better design than the 94.

I'd rather grab J/Y parts and sensor as they are GM over cheap aftermarket stuff... I have software to scan and read the sensors outputs so I can verify they are good too.

HAHA, I would think the same but I blew off my return line under the car and it just dumped fluid everywhere... and I had to get home not knowing where the leak was to fix it so I couldn't add more fluid to it... I thought the rack blew up, so I drove home with the PS pump technically dry which happened to be a 45 min ride that day... I was waiting for it to seise up and take out the whole belt, but it didnt... I got home fixed the line and put more fluid in and it sounded like a supercharger for the first ride into work but once all the bubbles were worked out its been running just the same as it had before... no issues...

Wow, you got lucky. On the GTU, the front seal started to leak slowly. two weeks without checking it, I hear mechanical noises comming form the bay, I look and my pumps pully looks like its just hangin over and had a wobble up and down with the belt somewhere between I35 and Loop 410. God knows where it wound up just before I stoped.

I agree though, fires are worst than PS failier. Well not actually, you get money back with the fire LOL.

just doin a follow up on my post....turned out to be the power steering pressure line. went to the local adavnce auto parts-picked up a brand new one for about $20 and within a 10-15minute time frame-had it already on the car and everything was and still is working fine. I was stumped as to how i was gone remove it from under my ABS unit(without actually removing the ABS unit) but removed my front driver side wheel....piece of cake from then on. Thank you to all that helped.....greatly appriciated. Thanx

Great! Glad it's not too hard to do. I should do mine some day. But they have looked seeping from the day I bought the car in 1999 and the P/S fluid never goes down in level... LOL...
