Beretta 5spd

I don't know a whole lot about the 282 or 284 but I was in a local yard the other day and spotted a beretta while I was looking around. I peered inside and saw a clutch, then looked around more and realized it had the 5spd shifter and most of the engine was still in so I bet the transmission is too.

Is this one of the hard to find 5spd's people are always looking for? The car seems fairly untouched in the yard (probably because it's near impossible to get around in this yard).

It's a 282. Not as rare as the 284 but holds up to a lot of abuse. I think it can be adapted to your car even as your car had both 282 and 284 IIRC you'd just need the appropriate stuff for your car but the trans would work.

A 5spd would be cool but I don't think I am too interested in that kind of swap... it woulden't clear my headers anyways. This is more for anyone around Caseyville, Illinois if ya need a 282 I know of one!

I think the S&S will clear a 5spd, if you shave a bit on the housing of the 5spd. IIRC someone did that on some car somewhere.... LOL
