  • isuzu trans?

this one definitely has the 60* bellhousing pattern, it wouldnt happen to be the same trans as a 282 would it?

Nope. That is definately not a Getrag, looks like the Isuzu that was used in the Feiro. One easy way to tell if its a Getrag 282/284 or not is the end plate, the Getrag's use a flat steel plate that is around 1/4" thick while that Isuzu is a cast aluminum part that encases some of the internals.

Since he says for the Beretta, I'd be tempted to think it's the trans from the base model 2.2 Berettas. Didn't they share the bellhousing bolt pattern?

Yes. GM cut corners in there production that they used the same pattern on most all there engines. This way they were able to design one transmission to work on multiple engines. If the quad's muncie/getreg will bolt up to a 3.1, I'd look for it. It has a different final drive I was told which would give you that quick 0-60 but fuel economy might suffer...

I'm fairly certain the Quad uses a different bellhousing pattern.
