i would like it just like the stock on except higher stall obviously.
if the TCC came on the stock one then yeah that would be fine.
id still like to retain the lockup for highway purpose.
              3k brazed fins and

thats still gonna be the 180 yu said before right.

FYI, TCC lockup is computer controlled. If you raise the stall then the PCM may have to be adjusted.

i got dhp so taking care of that wont be a problem.

i kinda figured it was computer controlled but you know how gm likes to change things around.

no it will still function as it needs to, because the lockup is never in 2nd gear, usually only at cruising speed in 3rd and 4th, plus the apply and release is basically seamless, the only thing ull need to tune is the line pressure, because a stall converter usually lowers the overall actual pressure of the trans...

Lockup will happen in 2nd gear if the trans is excessively hot. But by then it's just trying to save itself.

Personally I hate the stock apply and release set points. It makes the car lug at 40 MPH. Changing this to where it doesn't apply until after the 3-4 shift helps considerably.

ive already pushed the mph for where it apply's up a few. it was annoying to have the keep locking and unlocking while doing 30-40 on backroads with constant changing elevations.

i basically just raised the apply mph 4 or 5 mph across the whole range.
it was annoying most of the time to keep having it going in and out of lockup.
im going to tweak it in the spring ,the cars sleeping for the winter.
i also spent more hours than i care to remember with excel mapping the shift points so they dont overlap. i gotta tweak them slightly but overall its a 100% improvement over stock.

one thing that annoyed me which i fixed but at the strip it wouldnt shift into 3rd unless i let off the gas which resulted in shitty times cost me a few tenths.

oh yeah gectek ive raised the pressure slightly across the whole range nothing too radical just bumped it up a little. but ill tweak that more with the new converter.

yah, also ull have some driveability problems. even with the raised pressures, it feels like the trans is kinda mushing out is the usual term at the lower rpms, because you are not spinning the converter very fast, and it seems to have a small lack of power in the lower rpm in 1st, but that is normal. when u hit the magic number it acts like it is livened up. i actually dont like my stall converter and am going back to stock, but if you wanna try that 3k then be my guest. he is gonna call me back on monday i hope, if not then then the day after christmas.
