    ok this is my question
    what is the difference between 7.5 rearend and a 7.625??
    i have 4.10 gears for a 7.5
    will it fit or what?

    the difference is the ring gear is 1/8" bigger. no the gears will not swap over.

        The gears will swap over between the two, I have the 7.625" gears in my monza with 7.5" housing. In a F body, S10, or full size car its no problem they just bolt right in (properly set-up of course don't just throw the gears in and go), lot easier than my monza. Monzas and vegas use 7.5" that has a smaller pinion bearing the one closest to gear I had to turn it down to accept a H body bearing but this is a H body thing only.
