I've heard about GM's new Dextron VI fluid. Better, more stable, longer lasting, better viscosity, etc.. Is it really that good and is it beneficial to exchange the fluid in my GM transmissions for the Dex VI?

dexron 6 is the new gm fluid, the latest greatest fluid technology. i dont think its nesessary to run out and swap it, most transmission shops still will use dexron 3 for a long time as it works just fine.
