hey i am looking at getting a lsd unit for my trans is the phantom grip any good ? i was looking at a team green today but i dont think he makes them for my trans.and i know that the E.P is the best but i dont really want to spend that kind of money on the trans. so is the phamtom grip good enuf for a mild project or is it a POS unit ?

People over on the Fiero board have had the phantom grip blow up on them.

Granted, it is the GETRAG's that blow up, but seeing some of the carnage pics, it makes me hesitant to trust them.

mpracing.org/store sells LSDS through EP. Be warned that you could be waiting for up to 6 months for a LSD. If you order a LSD through mpraicng you should it sooner because both you and mpracing will be asking for the lsd to be complete in a timely manner.
The delay is because Jeff is working the shop by himself. Until he gets help then the shop should speed up.

I've got the team green insert in my 282, i'm not overly impressed but it did help with the torque steer.

I'll pull it out soon and inspect for damage, i've got a little over 1K miles on it.

MY lsd/trans build from EP should arrive by the first of december. I expect great things. I also found that dynotech also sells EP lsds which must mean that they are pretty good.

the EP ones are pretty much the same design that i've seen in stock GM LSD rear ends and Ford as well..

kind of a tried and true design, Maybe someday i'll pick one up...

Wouldn't count on it. 40 and 45 are physically smaller than 60, iirc.

The diffs are different. Contact Mark(mpracing owner) and he should be able to get it for you.

I should add that Mark is a great guy and a great seller. I've made 2 orders from him and they went smooth as possible.
