i found one for a 4t60e, its $55 plus shipping. i just wondered if it does anything performance wise.

increases transmission line pressure to improve shift firmness, dont expect to just crank it all the way to the max and run right though, you need to find a nice setting that doesn't drop your RPM's to quickly but wont let you rev all the way to 5k before taking off... i had mine at a nice setting and it really was quicker

no, never got a chance, made me quick enough to take down a large port malibu without issue before i had anything really done to the car

before i put it in, i would floor my car and it would rev up to 5k and slowly pull away, i put the ATI unit in and first time i took off with it properly adjusted i was pushed back in my seat, i really didn't expect it to be that fast, lol

i could easily take down 2000+ malibus (large port) with my near stock at the time 98 malibu, that and the poly front mount really helped me put power down a lot better than before

          Electronic modulator?

Links? I assume this is for newer 4t60e's since older ones have line pressure vac controlled...

yes, the "E" stands for electronic, this wont work on a standard 4t60

Many E's are still vac controlled, they didn't change it over till sometime after 96...

97-200 was the change over years between the 4t60e and 4t65e. the 4t60e uses a vacume modulator to controll line pressure, the 4t65e uses a computer controlled solonoid

IMO, its worth it, the guy i got it off of said that at a softer setting which let it slip a bit more for daily driving (didn't like the firm shifts), he knocked a tenth off his time on the same day, just plugged it in his 2nd run

I have a vacuum one and you can have it.

So does this work on the 4T60-E with vacuum modulator or not? Like does it raise pressure for WOT? I know the trans can control pressure other than the vacuum modulator cause when you put it in L you hear the pump whine a lot and the pressure goes up.

I'm running the TH350 Pioneer modulator from OReilly auto parts for $16 after tax. 4 Turns in from out of the box and trans feels much more solid shifting around in town and seems to help with changing gears on downshifts some.

that will not work on a 4t60e. the interceptor works be intercepting the signal to the epc solonoid and translating it to what you set it at. now bing you do not have an epc solonoid, it will not work.

just noticed the 2nd one is a vacume shift improver. basicly all that does is restrict the vacume sorce to the modulator. imho, better off going with an adjustable modulator

Yeah I saw that vacuum one too, and I agree get the adjustable modulator, its a lot cheaper and better LOL!

But I don't get it says the Interceptor Electronic Modulator is plug and play for the 4T60-E.... But it says it just delays the TCC lockup...
