    ?

Do you mean limp mode? You should have reverse in limp mode, it usually will happen if the tranny is too hot or other bad shit is happening to the tranny

I know you said 4T60-E, but that is kinda BROAD.

      Year make and modle?

Most crawl modes are for the engine so it can be safely moved if something happens to the engine.

The transmission only has forwards, and backwards.

If you have SECOND GEAR START, it can make the car take off in SECOND GEAR instead of FIRST. I have only seen it in PONTICS. Every other car that had it, it had been added in.

I added it to my 1988 Cutlass Supreme (at the time I had a 1993 4T60-E that had been swapped in), and I also added it too my 1995 Cutlass Supreme.

it would help to know what kind of car you are refering too.

I have never seen limp mode in anything other than the V8 cars. First car I EVER heard of it in was the Aurora with the northstar based 4.0 After I saw this, then I noticed it in the caddy's.

It allows the engine to run on half efficency so that you can LIMP to a place to get it fixed. I like shuts down half of the engines cylinders and fuel so it only drives on 4 cylinders. I think it could go up to 55MPH for up to 50 miles like that, or something. Been a while since I read up on it.

In the book I was reading, it said it only would do this in the even of loss of COOLANT. That was the only thing SPECIFICALLY it listed and it had nothing to do with the TRANNY. It was the ENGINE.

What car are you talking about and what is it doing? Are you trying to add it to a car so that if you need it you can use it?

Whatever it is, it was controlled by the PCM.
