  • LQ1 vs. Rebuild. LQ1 = 1, Rebuild = 0

I got a rebuilt tranny for my 1995 monte carlo. It has a 3 year warranty on it... I have a few issues with it. One is that if I'm driving it very easy or "grandma-like", going into OD at ~45, itll slip up a couple hundred rpm and then shift into OD just fine and stay in. I took it to the installer and he said it was normal. Also, lately I've noticed that when I take a turn and it has to do a 2-1 or 3-1, the LQ1 makes the tranny cry. It bounces off the rev limiter till you let off the gas. This isn't constant, but its done it twice to me, and I haven't drivin the car more then 2000 miles with the new tranny in it.
