this goes for any additive, but what these treatments are designed to do is swell the rubber seals up so they will get a better seal in a worn transmission to firm up shifts and stop leaks. they can work for a short time, however it also causes the valve body gaskets to swell up and it can cause small holes to be blocked off and cause big problems. it also causes a lot of grief when overhauling the transmission cause it turns all the gaskets to a glue like paste.

so what do u say?? should i flush the system?? I am using it in my 89 TGP with 105,231 miles.. i would think with 8 quarts of ATF and 24 oz. of treatment to make 9 quarts i think it is very well dilluted.. I ended up putting in 6 quarts of ATF and 22 oz. of Treatment in my car. It was just a filter and fluid change. so thats 2 quarts of the old still in there.

is the transmission acting up??? if not, no reason to put the stuff in there.

the 440t4/4t60e holds 10-12L of fluid. a pan drop will drain about 6L out of it, flushing is the only way ot do it all. however if the fluid was in ok shape when drained out, flushing isnt needed.

Don't use Lucas Products they don't do anything. All those displays at auto zone are garbage. If you use too much of this stuff in your tranny or if you use the engine treatment it will cause the oil viscosity to thin out and what you will end up with is tranny fluid that has the viscosity of water not good. I've tryed it in several different cars this stuff is S%%T. It will cause the engine oil and the tranny fluid to foam up with will thin out your oil and tranny fluid.

it will be fine, but its not needed. most people put this stuff in as a "fix" when the tranny is slipping or leaking real bad. now we all know you cant overhaul an engine with a magical bottle of additive, and the same goes for transmissions.
