Thanks Brad! No, haven't hooked that all up yet. If you've looked at Ben's store, there is a pic of my actual controller and spaghetti of wiring. I have been able to play with the software. You have full program ability execpt for the TCC logic control, but I'd rather have the TCC locked instead of continuosly varible slip.

Yeah, but the pan looks the same as any other 3100 4T60E N-body. However, the side cover has about one inch clearance from the bulkhead er frame and that doesn't include the brake lines.

we have a tranny mount bracket welded and bolted in currently hanging the tranny!! need to figure out a dogbone mount, pass axle (will attempt a 97 GA drivers axle), mount and splice the wiring harness, and mod the pass tranny to block bracket, get a shifter cable from a GA, retta, etc., and fab a shifter cable bracket. think thats all. should be done earily next week.

'll get a couple of pix of the modded tranny mount tom. L-body is a good source for ideas and some parts. though, with the smaller engine bay in the Z, you are forced to cut and weld some.

i do have a few more pix of the tranny and surrounding area if ya'll want to see more.

i now have a shifter out of a 96 GAGT installed with the cable, though crude, it's functional.
with some tweaking i will be able to reuse the shifter cover. too bad it won't have D,3,2,1, just D,2,1 gear indication. i'll have some cutting and grinding to do in order get things bolted like they were. new mounts are in. OH! and Jeff has actually send my LSD!!!! OMG!!!! can't friggin believe it! even have a tracking number to prove it. hahaha wow!

there are 12 more wires to splice in after figuring out why there are two for the tach and how the tps wires should be spliced in. the colors don't match anything in my car. i have decided to go ahead and put the LSD in. all the work will be done tomorrow, and the car will be running--assuming the controller is seeing everything it needs to function. if it's all good, i'll drive it home and play!!

well.....so much for that idea. FM! Jeff forgot, yet again, about what's going on with my car, so he didn't send the output sun gear required when changing the diff ratio. he did at least send the part, no charge at all, FedEx overnight. although, by the time i got off work got to FedEx, and got to the shop, the shop was closed. grrr. i'll try again tomorrow. cross yer fangers!

WHOO HOOOOO! got to take a short drive today! have a few loose wires to splice in and definitely neeeedsss some tuning. really soft shifts and way too late. had an issue with the indicated PRND321. P=R, and R=D, and N=2 ect.... must be some mixed wires in the range plug. so far no bad vibrations or noises. since 3=3, i put the selector in 3rd and got to drive though 3 gears anyway. happy stuffs working finally. now have to iron out a lot of wrinkles!

well, after driving a whole 1/4 mile yesterday, there was a weird sound coming from the engine bay, but only when stopped in D or R. we determined the converter is defective. so tranny has to come back out. not too happy. that means waiting even longer to drive the damn thing--not to mention no work was done on my car today, which didn't need much! grrr if it wasn't for the converter, i'd have taken the car and told my shop to forget it, and i'll fix their fuk ups!

well, if the converter can get re-replaced tomorrow afternoon, i'll be driving the car home!! that shouldn't be a problem.

finally got it done and drove over a mile in a stop-n-go fashion today. did some tuning. things are looking good considering. have lots of tuning for getting the programming close let alone fine tuning. there are a few bugs to deal with and sort out, but over all i can finally drive it! should be able to go for a nice long outting tomorrow! yeehaaaa!
