I am looking at puting a 5 speed in my 97 grand am the only problem I have is that to find a 96-98 5 speed grand am is like looking for a needle in a haystack I have only seen 2 in my 18 years so what can I use to convert mine with out spending my life savings

damn thats all i see is 96-98 grand am's with a few 5 speeds.

never was one. they are reffering to 2.3 quad 4 and 2.4l twin cam 5 speed cars. they did make em, they just were never that popular. however using parts, like mounts, shifter, cables, pedals, console, ect from one of these cars is what you need to do a 5 speed 3x00 car.
