I'm using an 05 flex plate from a Impala, they are suposedly light weight, but same strength... I have yet to hear some one break one. I've only dynoed at 206hp 238tq at the wheels but I know I have more than that now.

breaking from sheer power, no. breaking because of age, wear, and vibration, yes. seeing broken flexplates in anything is not uncommon. they are designed to flex (hence the name) and with age they fatiuge and break.

L67's break them all the time once they start dipping around 300whp+. Which is why i'm searching for a stronger one.

If THAT'S what you're looking for, ZZP sells a billet flex plate. I think you have to use a 4T65E torque convertor instead of the 4T65E-HD unit.

Interesting. So it should be backwards compatible.

                Doesn't a 95 4t60e have a 245mm torque converter?

I contacted ZZP and their flex plate will fit perfectly.

Stock flex plates can start to break around the 300whp+ point. Alot of other factors play into flexplate breakage.
I think i'll stay with my stock one instead of $400 :O
