    Thanks!!!

Those would have been helpful yesterday morning...

I am heading out to the garage now - it is raining pretty hard this morning, hopefully by the time i button everything up, the rain will have stopped. I will be back with results of driving her as soon as I can!

Well, It will be a few more days before I can let you all know about how the transmission works...

I have a lot of wires hooked up wrong/poorly.

So, I pulled out the whole harness and will start redoing it tomorrow evening.

With a little luck I should get it done by wednesday or thursday...

Getting close to being done with the wiring... The person I had helping me, did a beautiful job of matching up the wires by color. Unfortunately, this is a complete Frankenstein of a car and the wire colors do not truly mean anything...

And, I cannot believe I missed this:

The "Transaxle Range Switch" is putting out a 12v signal!!! The ECM I am using is looking for a Ground signal for the 1st and 4th gear signal

        I hope I didn't fry the ECM...

CNCGuy: I presume your ECM is looking for a 12v signal? or did you use a relay? or ???

I am thinking about wiring the switch to ground, and then using a relay to reverse the signal to a 12v for the reverse lights.
That way I only have one extra relay, instead of two... I will be working that little issue out tonight...

Thanks for everyone's help! Couldn't have done this without without you guys!

Good to hear you are moving along. My ECM is looking for a ground as well so I grounded the common side of the switch. I do not have reverse lights but would use a relay as you said. Not only would it use the least amount of relays, it would also make it more reliable. I would prefer losing my reverse lights over transmission operation in the event of a relay failure.

FINALLY! She is on the Road!!!

Well, just a few months overdue But, it is on the road and driving very well...

I ended up putting the "ignition" wire for the 7-pin to constant ground instead of hooking it up to a 12v source... This seems to be working very well...

I drove it quite a bit and she seems to be shifting perfectly!

I did use a relay to power the Reverse lights. I think it was very much needed in the Fiero - ever try to back up without any lights in a Fiero??? it's bad enough WITH the lights...

Thanks to everyone for the help!

            Very much appreciated!

Congrats Don... glad it is working out. You are passing me up now since I haven't had any time to tune on mine and it is getting cold out. Good work.

I hope that the TCC locks up appropriately...

I will let you all know.
