what would cause a trany to have R, N, 2nd and 1st on the shifter but not D or OD?
car wont do anything in OD or D but i can get it to roll in 2nd or 1st.

Either you blew out the foward servo or foward Roller Clutch. Check out the foward servo on the lower middle end of the transmission has the 3 8mm screws holding it. Look where the rear of the subframe indents to clear it.Last edited by gpse3400; 07-16-2007, 06:54 PM.Lorenzo

these screws... can i get at them without droping the trany? anything in particular i need to do in order to check that servo... and once i pull it, what signs will i have that it works or not?Comment

i think the easiest way to get at it might be to support the engine and transmission and drop thr back of the fram... und do the mounts and such so the fram will drop. I'd like to think youde see a broken piston..failures like this do happen....Lorenzo

could be the servo, but id lean more towards a broken band
