  • 95 4t60e to 96 4t60e, reluctor ring change, easy?

    Hello all!

I just bought a 95 Olds Ciera with the 3.1 and 4t60e trans, and of course the trans is junk...My friend owns a towing business and has a good similiar trans from a 1996 gm product out back that he said i can have. I researched both transmission and found out that his trans is from a 96 olds ciera 3.1 also, has the same drive ratio and all, but has a different tooth count reluctor ring than mine, 31 vs. 30. Are they hard to change or should i just buy the correct transmission for my car? My trans is a 615PAW and his is a 616PAW model. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated for life!..

    Thanks

    Paul

It should be a relatively easy change since the nose of the 60E can be separated from the case. And then the wheel should be right in that area.
