I bought a 1987 s10 without a motor. I put in a 2.8 from an 86 s10 blazer. I was attempting to connect the torque convert to the fly wheel and I noticed that I need to pull out the torque converter about a 1/4 on an inch to match it the flywheel. One of my friends told me that torque convertor will not work if it is not pushed all the way against the transmission. I am not sure what to do. I can connect the flywheel to the torque converter if I pull it out. Will this mean that transmission, 700rh, and the torque converter will not engage?
Thanks for your time.
