94+ didn't (unless you actually count the loop in the radiator a cooler).

donsz34: Your 93 *should* already have an aux cooler.

I heard the biggest possible would be best, but run it before the rad loop. The loop acts as temp regulator more than any thing. Like if you are in minus 45C temps like me. It will help transfer some heat from the engine to the tranny.

Exactly what Lyle said.... your tranny needs SOME heat.... but not ALOT. Always, on any vehicle... if it has the loop in the radiator.... run your cooler before the radiator and through it.

hmmm..........at my shop we tend to eliminate the radiator. your transmission will generate plenty of heat for itself. don't believe me? plug your cooler lines and watch it hit close to 1000 degrees before the tranny dies. i've seen it happen plenty of times. i have eliminated the radiator cooler on my own car and have a 10-pass tranny cooler. yes it's overkill, but i already had the cooler from a previous V8 project. i have also noticed my coolant temp gauge to sit a lil lower. HEAT is the #1 enemy of the automatic transmission! Improper line Pressure is enemy #2. also, another benefit of elimintaing the radiator when adding a trans cooler, is no fluid transfer from an old and rusted out radiator. if your radiator goes bad, there is a possibility of anti-freeze mixing with trans fluid, which is not a good thing. running a straight trans cooler eliminates this possibility. From everything i've seen as a transmission mechanic, the cooler you keep your tranny, the longer it's life will be.
