  • Tranny Chunks!!!

    Hey guys,
Finally took the time to take some pics of the trans since I pulled the bell housing off.
As I'm taking the pics, I notice these chunks on the side, all stuck in some goop. I can't figure out where they're from, but since second gear synchros were crap when I pulled it out of the car, I'm assuming these chunks have something to do with it.
    Take a look.

syncros are brass, not steel. id have a very close look at the shift sleeves and the gears themselves, im guessing you will be missing a couple teeth somewere.

Oh yeah? I didn't know synchros were brass. I've never messed with transmissions before.

i was workin on the swap myself. i figured id have at least $2g into the swap by the time i was done. need custom axles, custim mounts, would have to use the g6 flywheel and clutch, if you would make it work,

6 speed would be nice, but I've already got a replacement.
