  • 4t60-E Help and Fluid

I have a 1999 Pontiac Grand AM GT with the 3400 SFI HO motor and 4T60-E Transmission, i want to do a flush and fill to my own transmission, but i'm trying to find out a way to COMPLETELY flush it myself because it feels like i'm having problems lately. When i want to accelerate a couple of MPH to keep up with traffic the RPMs drop like its trying to pull something until it downshifts. Fluid and Filter is my cheapest option right now, any help and maybe even Picture step by step will be EXTREMELY helpful.
    thanks in advanced

first off, you have a 4t45e, not a 4t60e. 2nd, a fluid and filter change will not solve the problem, save your money.

i doubt its actualy a transmission problem. it sounds like computer tuning. im guessing that you are cruising in 3rd or 4th and you step into it a slight bit and it goes into lockup. giving it more throttle will kick it out of lockup and possibly down a gear. this is computer programing, you can only fix it with a tuner
