    Ok, so im kinda jumping the gun here, but i am almost through with my trans build. so far it has all of the aftermarket parts that i was able to find in a little over a year in searching, and a little help from aaron and the posts in here, and most of the revised parts as well. So just as soon as i get the LSD ordered and in, thats the last thing ill need. anyway when i get the trans pressure tested and maybe even dyno tested (i hope, if i can find a trans shop that does that) then i will run it for a few weeks and determine if i like the mods or not, and what might need to be done to them to make them race ready. from the looks of the setup, there isnt really much that would need to be built up on these trans, because gm revises them every year for their weak points and they will fit most if not all previous 4t4x models.

    i would like to offer rebuilds for the forum along with the 60* one also, for the 4t4x in the ga's and possibly the 4t6x as long as i can get one that is in good condition for R&D and the tools needed. i have all the tools right now for the 4t4x rebuild, so the only thing that would make a reg rebuild take me any longer is parts availability and the trans testing after the build. i will have a spread sheet ready soon with most of the options for the build, with others being added if i leave any out, or other revisions come along. it will include the price for everything i would normally do.

    now granted i know that everyone needs their trans because this is prob the only car they have, or just their daily driver, so i would find a used trans with low mileage and go from there. any stock hard parts that would need to be replaced due to being non-normal wear would be included in the total price, but at a discount to kind of keep costs down, but all the wear items would be full price as in the sheet. customers would be in full contact with me all the time, and can basically customize their trans with the amount of parts and upgrades theirs has. now of course i cannot test all of these combo's so i can post #s of a stock tranny with the stock tune, DHP tune and my rebuilt perf trans with the dhp tune from just the dhp pcm 1.0. i have the powertuner, but realize most people might not, so ill show just the times from the 1.0 pcm because it is less expensive to get and prob more widespread. obviously it is best to always custom tune a custom part, but all i can give are recommendations on that, because i do not want to offer a generic tune, due to a diff of performance from any 1 trans to another. i dont know about warranty yet, and removal and installation would be up to the enduser, and shipping, but i will take care of most probs that should arise.

    as for cost, i am not 100% set on that right now, i have to get with my dealership that i get most of the parts through and get a price list of the main wear items and have a spreadsheet up in a few weeks tops. no tax, cuz i dont wanna bother with that, and for out of state sales there is no tax anyway...the only thing on top of the price i would quote would be the shipping. i know that $$ and budgets are a big concern for almost everyone, so that will dealt with also. i do value my time on any project i make, but not so much that i want to screw the customer in charging almost as much to build the trans in time as the parts cost themselves. i am thinking on just charging a flat rate for all rebuilds, because since it is already apart there isnt any need to charge more.

    Of course i want to make money, otherwise i wouldnt be offering this deal, but i am not doing this just to get rich quick. These trans involve good time to build and alot of care. Also i know that alot of people would rather pay for a perf rebuild instead of a stock or mostly aftermarket rebuild just for the reliability and strength factor. so far my first trans rebuild on my 02 gagt is going on 40k miles with no probs yet. if you want an all out race trans to handle repeated abuse, i cannot speak for what mine will take yet in terms of HP, but feel free to take advantage of the Rossler trans or the on that MP racing is supposed to be offering soon, or the ever dreadded MMS(lol). i dont want to be their competition for that, in the fact that they should have highly specialized parts and i dont want to make bad blood between us. obviously there is little aftermarket for the trans in our n bodies, so i thought the more that other people offer, the better the whole community is.

Oh and to add to my credentials, i am not just an all talk trans guy, i am also ASE certified in auto trans, manual trans and drivetrain, and electrical. i have passed those tests so far and only need a few more months of on the job exp. to get my certificate, but basically i have passed these and can provide proof if anyone wants to see them. i am taking all 8 for my master cert, but these are the areas i specialize in.
