95mc dohc 5speed?

Can I put a 5 speed in my 95monte, I know it will bolt up and all that but will it work with my ecu.. And how much are they worth as far as going to buy one.. what would one be expected to pay for the hole getup. Thanks

The biggest problem I see with your swap is the 95 OBD 1.5 computer system.. If it could be programmed to "forget" it has a transmission and let you do the shifting..

..A 5 speed Monte would be bad ass! But finding the HM 284 and all the accessories you need will be the challenge.. I am looking at buying a 95 W with a bad transmission, and am wondering the same thing myself.. Instead of posting a thread, I will watch this one.. Because whether the car has the LQ1 or the L82, the same principle will apply.. Except I have the HM 282 already, so if it's the 3100, I'm set!
