this is good thread ! i hope it get's answers or questions .i have a question.i was looking at ffd's coil overs ,but you have to remove the rear swaybar correct.and i was also looking at addco's rear swaybar.so,what product it better, may be we should look for the better options for performance.or is there a thread on that that i miss.

king chalupa ( i like that lol ) i haven't say thanx for pointing me to the meet in richmond when i was there.i went and had fun ,i meet nice people , a guy with a nice volvo and a young dud with a 78 blue camaro . i had fun ,i even had buffalo wings and a couple ying lings. thanx again
i just love to watch the wheels turn around and around

i didnt think you could use struts in conjunction with coilovers..? but as far as they go, see if kyb makes the agx struts for your car. much better performance and their stiffness is adjustable.

i was wrong you remove the mono leaf spring not the swaybar.

gagt has a front end brake conversion hotw to guide that uses c5/c6 calipers and impala rotors.

and as far as the rear drum to disc conversion heres a direct copy and paste from wallflower from gagt.com

            *** All numbers are based on 99 SE2 V6 ***

            770 : Park Brake Shoes : QTY 1
            BH380580 : Rear Brake Line : QTY 2

            BCA Hub Assembly :
            512152 : Rear Hub Assembly : QTY 2

            Simple swap instructions :
            1. Disconnect Brake Line
            2. Disconnect E-Brake Cable
            3. Remove 2 Strut/Knuckle bolts
            4. Remove Trailing Arm/Knuckle bolt
            5. Remove Lateral Arm/Knuckle bolt
            6. Remove Sway Bar/Knuckle bolt

You now have the entire rear drum assembly in your hands. Change rear brake lines and E-brake cable. Replace with GT Hub Assembly in reverse order.

** I have the exploded views and parts lists from the GM Parts computer, for both the drum and disc rear assemblies, however I do not have a scanner. The only part number I do not know is for the E-brake cables.

I would check the local junkyard (Yard locator - http://www.car-part.com/) and see if they have wrecked GTs on the lot. Your price would almost certainly beat what you will pay at the dealer level for the above parts. I was quoted $250 for two complete disc hub assemblies. I plan to do this very soon myself. I think I will replace the calipers and park actuators with new parts to avoid the potential problems. I intend to buy new cables, hoses, and obviously the pads and rotors.

sweet tijuana. sorry i missed you. did u at least see my car there. green gtp near the front. i was parked next to a white saleen and a severly riced orange 240 i believe(damn it i knew i should have gotten your cell). but ya. you remove the monoleaf with the rear coilover kit install which in essene makes the wbod an independant rear suspension then.

Update: i am currently working with a vendor and in the coming weeks i should be testing a set of lateral and trailing arms. he says they will be in both stock length and adjustable length for toe(i am getting stock length btw).

i have noted there are already some avaliable but i think the more wbody parts out there the better. kind of a contingency if one vendor goes belly up or something. if the results are good and maybe he sells a few units, perhaps i can talk him into some other suspension parts that are not available.
