so i am looking for some drag radials and cannot decide which ones to get. i already have an extra pair of 17x7 rims and i want the stickiest tires possible. i dont want to pay more than 200 a tire. i will only use them at the track so i dont care about tread life. i am looking at nitto nt-01 or bf goodrich drag t/a. does anyone have experience with these or others? thanks in advance

I would pick up a set of 15x7 crosslaces, and then some 15" drag radials. Having a low profile drag radial kind of defeats its purpose a bit. They're supposed to get sidewall flex as it helps traction, the less sidewall the less flex. Not to mention the 17" will slow you down some by having more outward rotational mass.
Anyways, I've always heard good things about the BFG drag radials.

if you are drag racing, you need sidewall flex. it helps absorb the shock when you launch and helps keep traction. the bigger the sidewall, the better. a low profile tire has less flex and wont hook up aswell. keep in mind that a drag radial is designed after a full drag slick, just a little better life and tread to make it street legal. it would be best to get a set of 14 or 15" wheels, whatever the smallest you can get on the car is. and the bigger the wheel you have, the more rotational mass you have, meaning the more power it takes to get going.
i have a set of bf goodrich g-force t/a drag radials. they are 215/60/14. i can sidestep the clutch at 4500 and bog the motor. i have run 2.1 60' times, and i know its got more left in it.
