  • my suspention goodies are finaly in

i spent most of saturday installing all the suspention goodies ive been collecting for months now.

    -kyb gr2 struts
    -kyb gr2 shocks
-energy suspention poly controll arm bushings
-addco swaybars, 30mm front, 26mm rear
    -polly swaybar bushings and links
    -92+ brakes
    -power slot rotors
    -raybestos semi metalic pads
-goodridge g-stop stainless braided brake hoses
-sprint springs (been in the car for a couple years)

i got it aligned right away and then took it through some good twisty roads. the car rides a bit rough, but not as bad as most lowered cars ive been in. the car handles amazing. it is always flat and very responsive. it is a lot less understeer (common with fwd) than before. braking is also hugly improved, and the pedal is very firm due to the brake hoses.

now i know there is better stuff out there (ie caddy sts brakes, koni struts, ect) however i felt that for the money and my goals with the car, i picked the right stuff. i would highly recomend this package to anyone looking for a great handling street car without sacrificing ride quality too much

yes its very dirty, yes im missing my valance (had to come off to get on the alignment rack), and my 17s go back on once i get some more time.

How do you rate the KYB GR2's???

I need to replace my stock pieces.

    Thanks,

How much sturdier was that front sway bar compaired to the stock one??

Looks like you have a real nice setup there!

the kyb gr2 struts are ausome. ive ridden in cars with konis, and yes they handle better, but arent comfortable to drive. the kyb's are stiff and work very well.

the swaybar in the front was a lot more beefy around the links on the ends, but other than that, its the same diameter. i realy cant say how much it did being everything went in at the same time. im sure it helped being the metal is likley a lot better and its not 20 years old.

Yeah that is true. I am really thinking about getting the rear bar, but I didnt know how much the Addco front one would help over the stock suspension.

          Thanks

I thought the stock bar on the later Z24s was a 30mm piece. It's 28mm on my FE2 Sunbird.

But the 1" rear bar should be a big help. I'd like to get ahold of one for mine. (19mm stock on my car)

Most of all, I need Eibachs.
