my 1989 cutlass supreme sl has a rear leaf spring, i would like to lower the car 2 inches, does anyone know how i could do this without buying a new spring?

You could get rid of the springs and buy coilovers from FFP. Other than that you could buy a 91+ spring that is sagging and you could probably get your drop there.
There are a few companies that make lowering springs for these cars, but the one that actually does lower it is made out of metal and not fiberglass so it way alot more.

there are a couple people that are looking at cutting out the perch, but other than that, the only option is to get a sagging leaf like tony said. that is, without buying coilovers or the birchmount. corvettes get lucky. all you have to do is turn down the bolt that hold the leaf and BAM! its lowered.91 GTP HM-284 GONE

there is currently no fiberglass monoleaf that actually lowers the car. you'll have to figure something else out or get the birchmount metal spring or coilovers. i would go to a junkyard, find the lowest car in the rear and swap springs.91 GTP HM-284 GONE
