  • Tell me if someone makes a lowering kit for W body

I have a 92 Cutlass Supreme, Can anyone tell me if anyone make a spring kit that drops the car 1-2 inches? I know Eibach makes kits like this but it comes up blank on there site.

Will the KYB GR2 Struts work as well? what do i need to do to modify the rear?

RE: Tell me if someone makes a lowering kit for W body

fastfwdperformance.com sells a rear lowering coilover set. Im not sure when they will release the front coil overs. You can get eibachs for the front off a 95-99 monte carlo (as they list it). Also suspension techniques and I believe another company make front lowering springs. No clue on the drop.

ST springs are no longer available. the ffp fronts are going to be made soon. intrax also makes springs and unlike eibach they are lower and if theres a group buy going they will sell you just two. birchmount makes a lowering spring to your spec's for the rear, but its a 3-tier metal one. information can be found one the birchmount and intrax on w-body. theyre already got two groups buy worked out on the intrax and maybe a third one in the future if enough interest is summounted

Will the 95-97 Monte Carlo Lowering kit work in the back? i thought the 95+ had coil-overs where the 92 has the mono-leaf?

Is it worth going to the coilovers? i have heard some people say it can ruin the whole rear end.

It can, but so can the stock setup.

The rear monte setup wont work on a 92 because its not a rear coil setup stock, nor would it work with the aftermarket coil overs.

they wont ruin the rear end. i know a few people that have had them in their 1st gen w's for a long time with no problems. theres also a guy on cgp that converted to gen 1.5 setup in the rear (not coilovers, theyre mcpherson style just like the front so similar but different).

I like the look of the kyb and Koni coilover from HT.

AWeb80.. how is the change between ST in the front and FFP rears?

All i am finding is sets of 4 for the 95-99 Monte carlos.. even finding a few ST.. so you just sell the rears or modify? Sappyse.. any ideas? you seem to be the expert around here.

AWeb80... but would you rather have FFP fronts and rears or ST fronts and rears than 1/2 and 1/2?

The GMPD kit will work and is koni adjustable all around. I am working on this myself. As far as I can tell the rear will fit with no problems but it looks like a GenII cradle is neccassary for the fronts.

I'm happy with the ST springs in front and the FFP's in rear.....i'd have to ride in a car with teh FFP's front and rear to tell a difference....maybe when they come out someone around me will get them.

i would def go with ffp over hms for the rear coilovers. i guess i should have said that i have front st springs and modified hms rear coilovers. i already said what to do with the other 2 springs.

im anxious to know what you find out manit.
