  • New Green Stuff pads!!!

Just put them on and bled the front brakes. !!!! these pads arent even bedded in yet, and they rock. very grippy! havent hit them hard yet, got to bed them in tonight and give them that 100 mile break in. but i can tell already they are great!

they are f(as the title says) EBC green stuff front pads. for my 96 Z34. they are a kevlar/graphite. says that they make less dust then ceramic's and the dust is more easily removed. also they say they have a great bite when cold. (i can vouch for this!) when i searched reviews on these i kept finding info on the WRX croud. they all swear by them.

if anyone is looking for new pads for street get these! they also have a red and yellow version one is for autoX/Street the other is for 100% autoX. hope this info helps yall

Yea I've herd about them alot and seen them on car shows on TV. I am running GM pads now and can't complain. I wont need new pads for a long time and by then I plan on having Baer brakes front and rear

I'm just trying out some Performance Friction, Carbon Metallics myself. They seem good but I'm not going to pass judgements untill I bleed my lines again. Still a little mushy.

Depends on the rotor. My GreenStuff's have eaten up the EBC SportGroove rotors I'm running now. When the pads go, the rotors will have to as well. I'm not gonna complain, though, it's definitely a solid setup that stops well time after time. I forget how many miles I've got on this setup, but it's been on for a couple months shy of two years, so I can guesstimate about 27,000 miles.

well, im running drilled rotors upfront. i picked the greenstuff cause in my research kevlar pads were recomended for drilled pads. im running carbon metalic for my rear that have slotted rotors. (also said to be a good match) this combo should give not only good braking, but descent life.

Sounds like you've done more research on that than I have, then. Obviously, not all rotors are created equal, with some being "softer" than others. I'll probably end up a little more than 30,000 miles and everything up front will have to go. I am running OE stuff in the rear.

Where'd you get your rear brake hardware, and what exactly do you have? Thanks.

front drilled rotors W/ green stuff pads
Rear slotted rotors w/ carbon metalic pads
                  DOT4 fluid
and soon to get goodrich lines.

another greenstuff believer, but be careful, if you stop fast , the car behind you probably wont be able to stop as fast... ( ask my rear bumper...)

^^ QFT. I have to be careful of that, too. I'll outstop a lot of what is out there. Nice to know in one way, kinda sucky in another.

                        ...Pad Update...
                        these things ROCK!
I have a little over 1000 miles on them now. they are much grippyer then my old ceramics. they are quiet. no noise. there is some under moderate brakeing, but i think it is due to my rotors not the pads. they are great when cold and once the warm up a bit! WOW. i have never felt so confidant in this car's braking ever.
they are so good i'm considering not even buying the braided lines for the car!

I'm going to pass judgment now. All told the Performance friction pads are better than my old ones for sure. But not too grippy when cold. Cold they seem to be average and hot the are wicked. Of course I also have new calipers, slotted rotors and SS lines.

All told they are a fantastic improvement. Total brake job probably cost me about $750 CDN.

I also have had the Greenstuff pads for several months now. I have to disagree with their low-dust claim but the dust itself is indeed fairly easy to remove. Definitely a good improvement in braking power with powerslot rotors.
