  • God Damn GoodRidge Lines

OK so, I'm doing my brakes today. Full deal, Slotted Rotors, Carbon Metallic's, New Calipers and GoodRidge lines. 3 of my 4 lines don't have the correct fittings on the hard-line end.

Guy at GoodRidge tells me that the kit is supposed to have 3/8"X24 threads on them. But why? The whole car is metric. He told me that they still work. So I did some measuring and they are M10X1.0.

They sent me one line that fits and is metric and the others are imperial. Fucker. So it sounds like I have to send them back and then they will figure out whats wrong and send me the correct lines. Not exactly convienient. Considering I'm in Canada.

I can't even buy a set here localy to get me by. They all have to be ordered in.

Could you guys tell me what the thread pitch is supposed to be?

OK, I thought you should know that I had time today to call Goodridge and get things settled. It took about 1 minute. I called and got a different customer service rep and I told him that 3 of my lines were the wrong size. He took some info from me and is mailing me a new custom kit ASAP. FOR FREE!!!

        Now that is customer service.

There was another thread about Goodridge and their customer service. Can't find it. But, the customer was satisfied in the end.
However, this is twice I have heard of this problem.

Yup. They need to fix their kits but at least they correct them. I would just call them to begin with since that seems to be what it takes in the end.

i wouldnt use those goodridge SS lines if I were you, lots of folks have had trouble with the rears snapping. Fronts are ok though.

Well, back on the complaining wagon. I'm going to have to call back again. The length of these things is rediculous. They say on the box that they make the line 3/4" longer than stock. Ummm...try 4" on the fronts and 8" on the rears. That is not a mistake either because I got two sets from them now and they are the same length.

The fronts will probably be OK, but the rears, no way. I had to bend the lines in a wild 'S' shape to keep them from rubbing on the tire. I guess I will call up their customer service and have them send me some shorter rears.

But on a lighter note, preformance wise. AWESOME! Made a huge difference between my stockers and these. Plus, my stockers were not even bad at all.

                  Keep you posted.
