  • GM strut tower bar #?

Wondering if someone here can give me the part number for the GM strut tower bar that can be drilled out to fit our Z34's. I went on to GMPP and found part #12456148, there is no picture so I'm unsure if this is correct.

    Thanks,

    Kev.

Is there a front brace that actually bolts up over the 3 strut tower bolts other than the one from RSM? It's pretty lame that you have to drill 2 holes in the strut tower for the GMPP brace.

I have 2 of the rare convertable strut braces for sale. One is from a VIN X engine one from a vin T either would work and bolt to the strut caps.

I just picked up the GMPP brace and I actually think it a great bar. I like the idea that you drill the studs into the strut tower caps for this reason; easy to remove and strong. Change the park plugs or anything else for that matter on the back side of the motor and it as easy as four little bolts. With the RSM bar, that I also have, it is made of flimsy materials that bolt over top of the strut tower cap. So besides the obvious that it's just spray painted and will rust (I had mine powdercoated) the small folds of metal that make up the connection to the bar are a joke.

For the $40CDN this bar just cost me I'm more than happy. RSM bar, meet the garbage can.

Another unsatisfied RSM customer! Go figure. Those guys need to rethink a little. I have one of the convertible stock braces, and it is awesome!! And it isn't for sale.
