Goodridge is awesome!

I had ordered the stainless brake line kit for my GP from Ben's store, when we went to install the lines we tried to do the back ones first. The problem was that the fitting on the new line was .020 too small and the line wouldn't thread into it. So I called up Goodridge and explained the situation, and they said they would ship me out new lines that same day no charge. I asked them if they wanted the ones back and they said don't worry about it.

I needed to get them on my car for this weekend, and yesterday I called them because I hadn't gotten them yet. Well they had told me they were getting made today. This was confusing because they had told me Monday they would be made Monday. But he understood I had a race and said he would overnight me the new ones. 20 minutes later a UPS package shows up at my door containing 2 new brake lines. Apparently they had been made Monday and he was unaware, and here he was prepared to send me 2 MORE lines!

Needless to say, the new lines worked perfectly, and I'm very happy with the results. I only have the rear ones on at the monent, and the braking is already improved. The pedal is still kinda mushy, like all ABS systems, but the brakes are more balanced and are grabbing hard! Hopefully we don't have a problem with the front ones, but if we do I know they'll be able to accomodate me. BTW, it's a good idea to bleed your brakes once a year. My fluid was only one year old and it was brown and full of crap, causing all kinds of problems in the rear.

It's really hard to find good customer service like that now a days, to most of these businesses you find online or deal with the people over the phone, money is not the bottom line but it's the only line. Good to hear about this experience. it shines a little light of hope in this world of greed and bullshit. their are still good companies out there

you should swap out to a non abs master cylinder, you'll be alot happier, I think I have one laying around if you're interested.

I haven't been onto Ben's store in a while, but how much did those lines run you?

$105 I think, and actually we're going to try to switch it to a '94 F-body Master because the lines rout almost the same and it had a seperate ABS system. Also a bit bigger I'm told.

These Lines sound awesome... But i have a question.
Are these Goodridge a full kit from front to back. Or are they just to replace the rubber at the wheels?
Cause if its a full line kit im in need...
I surley dont want to have to bend in lines.
I had lived in Ohio for a few years with this car. And the salt finnaly showed itself on my brake lines. Luckily for me i was 2 seconds from pulling out onto a four lane highway. Bang the two back lines busted right there.
If they wouldnt have broke right there i wouldn's have been able to stop!!!

they are just the rubber replacements. they are stainless and braided.

Napa might have the lines pre bent, otherwise GM might be your only choice.

Well, im not 100% sure you CAN get them prebent, but NAPA and GM are the only 2 places I think are a possibility.

You can just splice into your current setup. Bending the tubing is actually pretty easy with the right tools, and a flaring tool or buying the compression fittings to splice into your current lines is not hard either. Probably much cheaper and easier than running a whole new line.

I'm going to have to run new lines. I'm moving to Arizona in a month. So the car will never see salt again.
So it's in my best intrest to replace the lines. The car is a 1991 so theres no telling how long they've been on there.
And it's a Z34.

I wound up just taking out all the bad lines. And it wasnt hard at all..
The thing i hate most about it was double flareing the lines.. It's a real challenge on the car...LOL
