  • Struts/shocks question

I've got a 96 grand am SE, looking at kyb for struts and shocks but am unsure about the whole swaybar mounting stuff. How do I know if my car has the swaybar brackets? Is it on the shock itself or part of the suspension?

    RE: Struts/shocks question

Part of the suspension. It will have brackets that hold it to the frame and then endlinks with connect between the control arms and the sway bar.

if your car is like my j-body, the sway bar end links attach to the lower control arm (the only one i have) totaly seperate from the strut, up front anyways. in the back i think my sway bar is totaly usless since it spans the rear axel and i dont thinks its doing anything, but still, not associated with the shocks back there either.
