  • New Wheels.

OK, i'm tired of my old Beretta wheels and tires. I've done a ton of searching for some that I think I would like. However my offset for the stock wheel is +42 and the new wheel I want is +38. Is this going to be a problem? The new tire that will fit on the new wheel, is only going to make my speedo 0.3% off which isn't to bad (mitai tire calc.). Basiclly I am asking is this wheel/tire combo going to work or am I stuck with the wheel and just have to change the tire?

Here is some additional info that I found.
    Old Tire/Rim sizes:
    14" rims: 235/60/14
    15" rims: 215/60/15
    16" rims: 225/50/16
    17" rims: 235/45/17

    14" rims: 195/70/14 and 185/75/14
    15" rims: 205/60/15
    16" rims: 205/55/16

    New Rim:
    Size Selected: 15x6.5
    Price: $149 each
    Recommended Tire Size: 205/60-15
    Wheel Offset: +38mm
    ** Lightweight: 15.5 lbs. **
    Bolt Pattern: 5-100[/b]

    RE: New Wheels.

If the wheels are the same width, take that 4 mm difference in the backspacing and add it to the front of your old rims. You should be able to tell if there will be an interference problem.

ive got 16x7's on my J body. i run those with 225/50r16's. im not sure of the wheel specs but the tire barely makes contact with the front of the plastic wheel well liner when turned, not enough to cause any problems tho, and it just flexes out of the way.

Ok doing some more digging my exact front and rear tire and rim size are 14" rims: 195/70/14 (tire). If I add 4mm to the studs (if thats what you were suggeting) it seems to be able to take it in front and back, except that about an inch above the front tire is a plate for the spring. The back looks like it it could maybe take the new 15x6.5 wheel and tire but not the front.

        P>S> Is the J-Body Similar to L-Bodys?
