I had two sets on my Sunbird. Personally, I liked them. They handled well in dry and wet and done good in the snow. The only thing I didn't like about them was that they're a 30,000 mile tire, which means I would only get about 20,000 out of them. The roads I drive pretty much suck, a lot of turns and potholes.Jason

At the end of the day, looks like the only thing that will work for me is the Radial T/A's, 185-60R14 front, 245-50R14 rear. Even at that, I'm going to have to have the fenderwells tubbed in back to get them to fit underneath. (Which I think I will like the look of when it's done.) I think that's all I'm going to find in street tires, just wondered what anybody thought of them.Hamondale

I run 225 70 R 14 on my truck. I love em. They last along time if you are nice to them. The good thing is they are cheep yet a great performer so you can really haul ass on em and smoke them up and not worry that you are killing a set of expensive tires because they are so cheep.1993 EXT. I'd almost forgotten this post, just happened to look today. Thanks for the comments, guys. Glad to hear nobody said they sucked, because in March I did end up buying the Goodrich tires. (Now somebody post up and tell me they suck.) 185-60R14 Traction TAs in front and 245-50R14 Radial TAs in back. As far as I can tell, they should work ok together even though not the exact same tire. I don't think they'll look wierd not being that exact same tread pattern. I wasn't adverse to spending a little more, but I just couldn't find jack in 14". I never did find a matched set that would work. Also bought Panasport FS wheels, and they look pretty good to me.
But turns out the rearend job has been ppd. until fall. My new 3.80 posi unit is three weeks late and the fabricator who was going to do the narrowing ( I sure as hell can't) got behind, and I don't want to start it now. Time to drive it while the weather is good.
Yes, Third Rail is a fun ride, but you do have to be pointed straight when you nail it or you're going to have to do a lot of correcting. My trans is a BW WC T5 that they ran on the V8 Camaros in the late 80s. I should have set it up with the S10 shifter that's forward farther, but I did not learn about that during the original build. Maybe someday.
