  • 1993 Cheve Lumina Euro

    I have a question.

I just got new tires on my Lumina, put new strut/carts on the back with used Knukles matching of course because the old ones were getting really rusty and the calipers wouldn't stay on.

My question is, is there any adjustment on the strut assy for camber??

My rear tires are feather wearing on the inside on both sides.
Is it possible that the rear strut assy has enough play to adjust for a 1 or 2 degree to center the tire on the ground without modifing the strut bolt hole to allow greater adjustment. The tires are tilted inward.

I mean it's not a huge amount of wear, but if left it may cause premature tire replacement.

I have put 1000 miles on these tires and they are just starting to show under camber wear.
    I am back

Rear camber is adjustable. To do this, the holes (both top and bottom?) in strut that mount the knuckle need to be elongated. IIRC, this is SOP from the shop manual.

If this were the front I'd direct you to tirerack, they have eccentrics for the front strut towers. The rears you have to file the strut tower mounting holes.
