  • Caster and Camber

Today I had the alignment done on my car. The caster and camber was adjusted. My car is a 94' olds cutlass supreme. Driving home I was getting off the highway and hit the brakes. The car slammed to a stop pulling to the left very hard. I got out of my car and the top left caliper bolt was off and the caliper was shoved into the rim. Is the caster and camber adjustable on this car? And if so, how because I'm not familiar with it. Does the brake caliper have to come off to adjust caster or camber in any way? P.S. this has cartridge style front struts. Help!

Technically caster and camber isn't adjustable on the front of early W cars. Just the toe. IF they really had to make an adjustment, they would have to either remove the upper black plate and drill out the 3 strut bosses or loosen the lower frame and reset it. these procedure have nothing to do with the brakes.

The rear camber can be adjusted. rear toe isn't adjustable after '91 I beleive.

Nice! That retrofit kit must be new then. Because later on they weren't adjustable. I know my '93 isn't but my late '89 Pontiac was.
