has anyone ever changed a hub assembly off a beretta or similar car and if so how difficult was is

  • #2
Done it twice... I even had a write up on it once. Not sure where it ended up though.... Its really not that difficult. The hardest part is seperating the hub from the strut assembly.

Here are some pics from the first time I did it:

Unfortunately, there aren't any pictures with the old hub off. Seperating it from the strut assembly pissed me off enough that I basically forgot to take pictures. One recommendation: get a hub socket. I want to say its a 30mm socket, but I could be wrong. I just know that I got a GM hub socket from Sears and it worked great.

I had the hubs off of my car... and they were relatively easy to get off. However W-bodies are quite a bit different than... uh... whatever body Berettas are... N? Dunno. Takes a lot of pounding. Putting back together is a breeze, I just used some anti-seeze on the half-shaft splines.
