What a fun day today was. Got in my car went to the post office and came back to the wonderful smell of brake fluid and a mushy pedal. Sad part is I can't seem to find the replacement line for this 97 century. Tetter totted home and put the car on jacks to see a bunch of rust and brake fluid dripping from the rear line... holy hell man.

When that happened to my 99 Lumina I also found that you couldn't get a pre-made line... The Chevy Dealer said to make your own,,, that's what they do... At a parts store you can buy pre-flared tubing in various lengths... I had to cut and flare the line about under the driver's seat and run the line back to the right rear brake... When you're under there take a GOOD look at the piece where the transverse arms pivot.... It bolts to the chassis of the car... On mine that whole structure was rotted out.. The whole rear suspension was rotted,,,, Ended up junking it for $250.... The reason I mention it is when the brake lines rotted out I found many other bad things as well... Not too safe to drive!!!

PS-- I used a single flare where I cut the line because a double flare would be REALLY hard to do while under the car.. I cut an end off of a double flare line to make a single flare to match where I cut the line and used double flare to hook it up to the wheel cylinder...
