I am doing a suspension overhaul on 92 GTP 3.4l 59K miles because rear calipers were seized anyway. The front is easy, but rear stabilizer bar is giving me issues. I can get a moog K80233, but I can't find any other bushings. Energy makes a 14mm bushing to go on strut, but it is not tall enough. Autozone makes bushings but they are just rubber. I could buy an adco 474 rear stabilizer bar for 165.85 from summit and I think it comes with new poly bushings. Any thoughts?

There'll be something there that will fit your bar size. Just measure it and if nothing is exact just get the next smallest size and squeeze it on there. This is for the end bushing on the strut. I have an addco and even the inside bushings on it are rubber, probably since it uses that weird hangar.Jesse M.

I do see 9.5153r which is a 14mm one which is the same size as my rear bar as it is FE3, but two concerns are that this is only 2 1/4 tall. The stock one is 4 inches tall. I am afraid it will be pulling the bar too close to the strut. Also for the front guys have written up that they had to go 1mm size bigger for the energy greaseables in the front. for the 14mm bushing I can't go to 15mm I would have to jump to 16mm. I could go with a non-greasable one which is 9.5103 and only 14mm. I believe that was the concern on the front that if you got a busing that is the same size as the bar there would be no room for grease. I do not want binding or squeeling from a non-grease even though energy says it is impregnated so no squeel. What are your thoughts about greaseable 14mm or non grease 14 and the fact that the energy bushings would pull the bar closer to the strut by about 1 1/4?? Running polys on the outside on the rear bar and new autozone rubbers for inners and new moog hangers, will that work okay?1992 Grand Prix SE 3.1l 155k SOLD

Noise isn't much a problem on poly sway bar bushings in my experience, but they do wear out a lot quicker. It would definitely help out to keep them greased. They're not all that expensive, so if you don't mind replacing them every 40 or 50 thousand miles or so there's no problem getting non-greaseables if they fit better. Grease them though before installing.Last edited by jman093; 06-13-2011, 05:56 PM.Jesse M.

Yeah, I don't know what I was thinking the stock bracket is 2 inches tall but the energies are just 1 3/4. The energies bar hole is 3/4 up, and the gm/autozone rubber is 1 inch up. It is good to hear about the rub/noise situation should be okay. I only drive the car 3 - 4k a year, so I won't care about short busing life.1992 Grand Prix SE 3.1l 155k SOLD

Poly bushings squeak no matter what energy suspension says. Get the greasable ones if at all possible. There is a groove in them bushing that will hold the grease in there. It will never squeak and almost last the life of the car. You do not have to choose an oversize bushing. Measure the bar and get the one that matches.1993 EXT. CAB, 3.4L V6 TBI, 5spd manual. Sonoma
