  • just wondering

    hi guys
on my 91 z34,the rear mono leaf is sagged(did i spell that right),and i love the hieght of it.
is there a way i could lower the front to match it,with out going broke or spending a years worth of time to do it?i dont think i want to heat the springs,it might loose too much spring rate.and i have not spent much time looking at it.i just thought i would check with the pro's first

    thanx

JCwhitney used to sell Suspension Techniques Front lowering springs for a 1995-99 Monte Carlo that bolt right in for less then $100...(didnt have to buy the rears, they where sold seporately). I don't know if they still carry them but i would look at that option. OR find a lowering kit for the 1995-99 monte carlo and use just the front springs. (obviously cant use the rear springs with a 1st gen W). I had the ST springs on my '92 Z, handled well and was level with the sagging rear leaf.

OR the other options is kinda ghetto but i guess it would work: Coil spring lowering kit... uses stock springs and compresses them.

    Hope this helps

The ST lowering springs have been long discontinued with all other lowering springs anymore for Gen 1/1.5's. The only ones still out there are these cheap ebay ones:

Never seen anyone use them, so I have on idea how good they are or how much drop there is.

You could always go coilovers though. HT sells these:

And there's some threads about building your own coilovers on w-body.com
