technically there is no such thing as a high flow cat... anything magnaflow makes flows the same, and as long as you watch your inlet/outlet sizes it wont really matter about brand either. they all flow the same. (this comes from the magnaflow rep guy i talked to) lol one of the shops i deal with on a regular basis that is prying for my employment sells nothing but magnaflow, and he happened to be there when i dropped my car off for a test pipe. i have two bottle style MF mufflers, 2 3/4" pipe from front to back, one resonator in the middle. then a Y pipe, the two mufflers and two chrome tips to fit the dual openings on the Z34 bumper. it sounds good. but i keep forgetting to drop it off for the final fitting cuz it sits WAY too low. the tips stick out to far... but other than that it sounds good!! haha get us some vids after you get yours all done lets here how she sounds!! (anything flows better than a plugged old cat too, but dont throw it out. it has PLATINUM in it!)

true on all of that. i've seen plugged cats get sold for ~40 each.

The one junkyard I frequent has a big sign up as you are walking out saying how they won't sell cats, lol.

                do they sell dogs?

as for selling them i never knew. some guy came to our shop and paid us $20-$80 for each one. the bigger and free-er flowing the more platinum thats left in it... i guess. thats what they told me anyhow.

The one on my truck is pretty free flowing. It probably flows better than the pipe going to/from it, but then again, it doesn't have any platinum in it. Big mistake, now it sounds like crap, but at least as of last night, the muffler no longer leaks. That took a bit since the welder burned quite a few holes in it....

ok i have put the isolation bars on my car. it lifted the car up some but i want it higher about 2 inches. Anyone have any ideas on how to do that.

Adjustable coil overs, but then you wasted time and money on the monoleaf. I'm not sure how much height you can get from the Moog spring helpers though, it might be worth a shot before you go to coil overs.

anyone have a pic of the Moog Isolation pads installed? just curious how they look installed? im having a hard time picturing it...

Im sure it wouldnt be hard to make a notched "Block" for each end to raise the spring up a tad. might be something that WOT could sell and help a few people out............

Has anyone done a rear suspension conversion to a coilover? If so holla back at me with pictures if possible. I'm conveniced quality replacement shocks and isolator bars on the tips of a transverse spring only lifted it up about a inch. It's not enough to keep from bottoming out with only two people in the car upfront. Thanks in advance.

i've installed the moog white blocks to the leafspring and only thing it did was barely level the car but driving forward from a stop, it squatted down like a female dog taking a piss. Its the leafspring altogether is the problem. Now i've read all the threads on here but there needs to be one that has a proven solution to cancel out the leafspring and replace it with a coilover set that works with a wbody from 89 to 96.

Proven? Huh? There are lots of first gen w's running around with coilover conversions. This is nothing new. I'm driving and autocrossing one of many.
