Just ordered some KYB GR-2's.... they should be in today. I'd heard somewhere (probobly here) that Eibach makes lowering springs for the front, to make the car more level with a sagging rear monoleaf..... Anybody know of it? I think the two aforementioned things, plus some GMPP Trailing arms for the GP's and MC's, and the addco 7/8" rear sway...... ought to tighten her up some! Lastly, the coil-over conversion..... but i've got a lil while before all this can be completed, with the purchase of the 'Yota, and the beginning of the resurrection of the RS... Oh well. Always something.

Yeah, but the Eibach set comes in a set of 4 (front and rear springs). I have the suspension techniques springs (they come in pairs) and fully recommend them. Good performance with little change in ride quality.--Rob

Well, an update: I got my KYB GR-2's on friday afternoon, and I've driven about 600 some miles this weekend on them, went and saw a long distance friend. WOW..... what a difference. Best $200 I EVER spent on the car. Unbeleivable. Now, just get some lower profile tires and fix all them old bushings..... (still has 225/60/r16's, but on 16x8 rims, which will likely stay. stock were 16x7 if I remember correctly) This month I'm shooting for the GMPP trailing arms and a FFP chip.1993 Chevy Lumina Z34; 4T60-E, CATCO 2.5" hi-flo cat, Flowmaster Exh, American Racing Aero Rims, KYB GR-2's

Yeah I just installed the GR2's in my car a month or so ago. They're great. With those wheels you should go to a 245/50-16 tire. Probably very similar ride to the 225/60's but wider, and better I just ordered my 245/45-17's (Kumho Ecsta Supra) today and I'm gonna be getting some Eagle 185's (17"x8") as soon as they're in stock (had the tires on order but wheels on back order =/ I'm mounting and blancing the wheels and tires myself).
Oh, stock Z34 wheels are 16x6.5.--Rob

I have the Kumho Ecsta Supra 712's on the rear of the 92. DO NOT USE ANY KIND OF TIREWAX/TIRE SHINE SHIT!!! They will crack the hell out of the sidewalls!!! My front Kumhos were shit when I got them changed. Put some BFGoodrich gforce T/A KDW's on, and all I can say is holy shit those are good tires! Car handles pretty damned good, and will handle like a dream when I get the rears changed. I only have to come up with about $607. $200 for a new rim (fucking potholes), and the remaining $407 for the two rear tires.-60v6's 2nd Jon M.

I have Kumho Ecsta 712's all around (245/45-17) and they're fucking incredible... well... compared to the shitty 225/60-16 Dayton Daytona HR's. I'm sure I couldn't keep up with the guys with 18's, but the rides probably better. They're quieter (not quite by luxury standards, but compared to the Dayton's they're silent) and they stick like hell, and they're really comfortable, I'd say the ride didn't change at all from the previous tires, except being quieter. Of course the front end scrubs a lot because of the huge front weight bias, and the lack of one of the fender cross-brace thingies probably doesn't help. Strut tower braces and Poly bushings should help that quite a bit.
Since it's along the same topic, does anyone else make Polyurethane suspension bushings and strut tower braces for us besides RSM?--Rob

Yeah, mine are 245/40 ZR 18's and the only bitch I have is having to dodge potholes around here, and the condition of the roads. A lot of people on tireracks reveiw page hate the noise from the tires, but I don't car because they stick good. They netted a 9.5 rating in dry, which is pretty damned good. I don't think they are that noisy at all, but then again, I don't nitpick like most of the people on there and listen to my tires all day, I listen to the stereo instead-60v6's 2nd Jon M.

Hella. They aren't noisy at all, I mean they squeal when you corner, but aren't tires supposed to yell at you like that? Anyways, I guess everyone can take it from two people that the Ecsta 712's are very good indeed.--Rob

Just a few pics of what you will turn your tires into if you use tirewaxes/tireshines:
BTW, as of today, I have spent another $408 to replace those rear tires, so now I have BFGoodrich T/A gforce KDW-2's all the way around my car.-60v6's 2nd Jon M.

They probably list the 95+ Monte Carlo because that's a more popular car to mod than the 1st gen's. Don't worry about fitting, all the W's (even the newest ones I believe) have the same front suspension. There should be plenty of clearance for wider tires if/when you go to wider tires, I know I have at least 1/10th of an inch clearance with the wheel fully turned Probably more like a few inches.
And don't worry about rubbing or the suspension bottoming out. I was worried about the tires hitting the top of the wheel well at first, but on the road I commute on the most there is a shitty transition from the road to an overpass and there is a fairly deep dip, I've gone over it at 60 (limit is 50) and not rubbed. But driveways are a bitch...--Rob
