      While you have the strut assembly apart, why not upgrade to the newer (94+ IIRC) strut assembly. Main reason for the upgrade? The bigger, better brakes.

        i was thinking about doing that but i dont know if i can afford it... how much would the new struts cost

          The KYB GR2's run $35 a peice at tirerack. I dloaded the application guide, and the front GR2's all have the same part number from 90-99. Part number is 366004. The 00-03's part number is 334227, so the latest Monte's are different up front.

            Maybe we should work on Tahoe / Yukon / H2 hub conversions for 26" Wheels and 18" brake conversions. I'm sure the market would be huge.

            26", haha that entire diameter of the tires is only like 22".

              well they are 35 dollers but that is just for the strut cartrage..... i need the whole strut assembly to do the brake up grade...... im going to see if i can find it at my local junk yard for cheep... i know there is a 95 maby 96 cutlass 4 door there.. it should have it

                Yes, you are right. Cartridge only. Sorry I forgot to mention that. I can't really put prices on the assembly though, because parts costs vary from junk yard to junkyard.
