As posted in the squeaking when hitting bump thread about my bad bushings on the rods that go from the support crossmember to the knuckle assembly i have this question/problem..

Looks like it has no rubber pad between the leaf and where it rests. If so, yes that is bad... sometimes they rot so much they just fall out. Not like your car is going to fall apart but that can definitely make noise. You need the NAPA solid replacement pads... there is a part number around here somewhere.SpudFiles
