  • disc brake upgrade question

    yeah i'd like to know whats involved in changing the drum brakes on my 1999 Chev Malibu to the disc brake set-up of an Alero or something like that.

    pretty much just want to know what parts or modifications...everything else I can figure out... drums dont look so hot through 18's, and i'd love to have vented discs all the way around. thanks.

    if its like the w-body you just need the complete knuckle/hub/caliper off the other car. then get new brake hoses/pads/rotors and slap it on.. I know the Monte Carlo ABS connector is different but it still plugs to the new wheel bearing. You may also need the new style park brake cable as well.

    It should be a very simmilar swap as listed here
