Dude, you should have PMed me. I would have been in from Day 1, but I'll throw my hat in now. Just wondering what you're doing for the ball joint mount position on these new arms. I know we talked about moving it for lowered cars.

sweet! i have his number in the thread here. give him a call and if you like what he is offering, just give him your info and be accounted for.

a few more patrons, and we might actually get the ball rolling. I cannot wait.

1loudcutty, are you from w-bodyindex? good to see you. i still go on there, mostly when i am looking for parts.

You still have that slick black cutty? is it loud like your screen name implies?

if you haven't already give him a call and give him your info if you want a set or if you don't right now plz call him and let him know you are interested. i put his phone and email info up on here in this thread.

it isn't something that will happen instantly. it will probably take a month or so to get it going. and lee will work with you on the $$$, his current plan is 190 when he starts and another $190 when he finishes.

do you think i should post this up in wbody index?

p.s. i personally suggest a full coilover kit. night and day difference on the suspension.
No, Actually I post as Blackbird21 on w-body.com. You are thinking about LoudCut... My Cutty is louder...lol

I have Lee's number saved in my cell phone. I will call tomorrow when I get off from some training classes for my job in Cleveland. Rush hour will give me plenty of time to call.

Yeah, im looking into the Stage 3 coilovers. I thought about doing a DIY job, but the mounts would just be a pain in my rear.

And $190 at first, and $190 when they are done, that seems like an uber easy payment plan to me

          Im definately still in.

Definitely post if you find anything about moving the ball joints for lowering the car. I have no idea how to figure out how far to have them moved, but being that my coil overs are from him he should be able to figure that out.

The rough formula for moving the ball joint position is 1/2 the drop of the suspension. So if you've lowered your car 1.5 inches, you should move the ball joint up 3/4 of an inch. I think moving the mount up somewhere between 3/4" and 1" would be fine for 95+% of most applications.

i talked to lee today and it seems he will indeed go through with production.

he said he is going to make a prototype 1st and show it to everyone be4 accepting any committments. i guess he didn't expect the amount of interest he recieved.

so those of you asking for a pic be4 you buy will get your wish so you have no excuse.

this is only a small victory, we are winning, so those of you interested, keep the phone calls and emails coming.

hard for me to picture it without a to-scale drawing, but wouldn't we want to move the ball joints down and in for a shorter strut assembly length? that should correct the balljoint angle and relieve stress on the axle and body @ the upper mount, I believe. I dunno, I'm not doing so well in dynamics so feel free to correct me

                              • I think that is what he means by moving it "up". I envision the control arm being on an angle pointing down from the pivot point, thus moving it up that angle would be moving it in. Of course I could also be wrong, just worked an 11 hour day and its bed time, lol.

Just be patient with your e-mails, he is good about responding to them. Its just not always right away. Keep in mind he is probably getting quite a few e-mails about these arms, that on top of the fact that right now is apparently his busy time of the year.
